Isn't floor heating insulation expensive? |

Depends on the type of insulation you use. Construction boards have
a reinforced cement outer layer which gives them extra rigidity and are
perfectly suited to walls in wet areas like bathrooms. However, when
using insulation boards with underfloor heating systems, this outer layer
is not required. As the load bearing insulation boards do not have
this outer layer it makes them cheaper than the construction boards.
